NAON Submission Guidelines
For Podium Presentation Proposals:
Podium Proposal submissions will be accepted in five tracks for 2021: Clinical Practice, Education, Leadership, Research, and Advance Practice.
Podium presentation proposals require:
- A Title
- Learner Outcome or Practice Gap
- Detailed Summary of Content
- Minimum of 3 references
Research podium proposals additionally require background, problem and purpose, methodology, sample, results, limitations, conclusions, and implications. A research study must be completed before submitting it as a podium proposal.
Most presentations will be 50 minutes in length with a 10-minute question/answer period; however, there may be an opportunity for an extended session. A registration discount and small honorarium will be provided for each session. Travel and housing arrangements will be the responsibility of the speaker.
1 = General health care
2 = Intermediate health care
3 = Advanced health care
For Poster Presentation Proposals:
Poster Proposal submissions will be accepted in six tracks for 2021: Advance Practice, Certification, Clinical Practice, Education, Leadership and Research.
Poster presentation proposals require:
- A Title,
- One outcome (“The learner will…”)
- Summary of the content
Research poster proposals require the above AND background, problem, methodology, sample size, results, limitations, conclusions, and implications. A research study must be completed before submitting a research poster proposal.
Poster presenters are expected to register for the conference and assume all arrangements and costs related to the poster session. Posters will be judged prior to Congress and awards will be presented for leading Advance Practice, Certification, Clinical Practice, Education, Leadership and Research posters.
