NAON's 40th Annual Congress
We Engaged Our Core a lot this year, now let's Celebrate Our Stars!
While we wish we would have been able to come together in-person for the 40th Annual Congress, NAON and our members engaged virtually in a variety of ways this year. Thank you for celebrating, connecting, and persevering through this year with us!
Take a moment to journey through NAON's 40th Anniversary year with these highlights!
Like most things, our passing of the gavel looked a bit different this year. Listen to Past-President Jack Davis give remarks during NAON's Virtual Congress event this May:
Jack Davis, NAON President 2019-2020, passes the gavel on to Lynn Burkett, NAON President 2020-2021 in a social distanced ceremony this spring:
Lynn Burkett, NAON President 2020-2021 closed May's Virtual Congress event with her own remarks, to set NAON's tone for this year:
Even though NAON couldn't bring our members in-person education this year, our speakers and staff were excited to bring that content to life in a virtual way. With the help and enthusiasm of Jack Davis, our staff was able to collect our 2020 award winners through Zoom meetings, to still give them a slice of the recognition and element of surprise they would have had on the Congress stage. Congratulations to the many individuals NAON recognized this year for their contributions to our orthopaedic community!
Finally, for this year's #OrthoNursesWeek2020 our members shared their experiences, pride, and resilience.
As we look forward into our organization's next year, and to Congress 2021, it is clear that no matter what is happening in the world or in our individual communities, NAON provides a space for shared passion, education, practice, and care. We could not have done all this without nurses, volunteers, and members like you!
